歌曲背景與創作靈感

《Macbeth》取材自莎士比亞四大悲劇之一《馬克白》（Macbeth）。

劇中的馬克白原本是一位忠誠勇敢的將軍，卻因為對權力的渴望，以及一次又一次錯誤的選擇，親手把自己推向毀滅。

Max McNown 借用了這個經典人物，寫的卻不是國王，而是每一個曾經愛過的人。

有時候，我們其實早就知道一段感情不會有好結果。

知道對方不適合、知道那些承諾只是幻想、

知道自己正在失去自己，卻還是選擇繼續往前走。

因為真正的悲劇，不是毫無預警地發生，而是明知道結局，仍然無法回頭。

③ 每個角色，都代表不同的人生悲劇

這首歌不像一般歌曲只有一位主角。

Max 用三段故事，描寫三種不同的人。

第一個人，困在一段逐漸失控的感情。

第二個人，試圖用酒精麻痺自己。

第三個人，一輩子都說著：I’m fine.直到最後一句再見。

他們的人生不同。卻走向同一個結局。

最後

《Macbeth》真正想探討的，不是死亡。而是選擇。

人生很多悲劇，不是因為命運。

而是因為，我們一次又一次，

忽略了心裡早就知道的答案。

所以歌曲一直問：

誰會明知道前方是悲劇，還願意踏上旅程？

答案是：很多人都會。

因為愛情、夢想、執著，

常常讓人相信：也許，我會是例外。
